SUMMARY:Energy Efficiency: How It's Paying Off for Rhode Islanders
DESCRIPTION:On April 11\, 2018\, the Rhode Island Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council (EERMC) hosted a public event to highlight how energy efficiency efforts are paying off for Rhode Islanders. Legislators\, energy efficiency vendors\, energy efficiency program participants\, state agencies\, and members of the public were all welcomed to attend and learn how energy efficiency programs are critical to our state’s economy. \nHigh-profile speakers\, including Scott Johnstone (NEEP) and Nick Ucci (RI Office of Energy Resources)\, highlighted the large-scale benefits of energy efficiency\, including how this work supports Rhode Island’s economic\, environmental\, and health goals. J Jerue (Rhode Island College)\, Vin Graziano (RISE Engineering)\, and Jim Mixner (Restivo’s HVAC) also spoke about how energy efficiency programs have benefited their businesses and saved them and residents money. Chris Powell (EERMC Chair) discussed how Rhode Islander’s are able to participate in the public process that oversees these programs.
